Wav ringtones for Nextel & Boost Mobile phones only work on those phones I just listed. Please remember that a ringtone for Phone Line 1 should only be about 30 seconds in length because after that it goes straight to voicemail. If you are making a ringtone for Call Alert, Voicemail, Messages, Net alert and Reminders they can be as long as you want them to be because these features keep playing the ringtone untill you answer your phone.
Programs needed, in the order you will be using them:
1. Usb Drivers
2.Power MP3 WMA Converter 2006
3. Sound Recorder [This program is located at (Start/All Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/)]
4.Cool Edit Pro 2.o[In order to get this one you must download it on a P2P program or a Torrent Website/Program]
5. Webjal and Webjal Patch
Power MP3 WMA Converter 2006 Instructions:
1. Once you open Power MP3 WMA Converter 2006 it should ask you if you want to register the product or try it now. If you click on try it now it will be the free version you will be using so i suggest you use that option.
2. Next go to File/Add File. Choose the Mp3 you want to Convert into Wav.
3. Now Change the Convert to: Part to Wav and choose any directory you want to store the Wav file in.
4. Right Click the song you picked and Click on convert. In the Try Now Version you must do it one song at a time, its not to hard is it?
Sound Recorder Instructions:
1. Once you have opened Sound Recorder, go to File/Open... And Select the Wav File we just made with Power Mp3 Wav Converter 2006.
2. Play the song Or fast foward untill the part you would like the ringtone to begin. Then Pause the song[By Hitting the Square button] and go to Edit/Delete Before Current Position.
3. Next Play the song or fast foward untill the part you would like the ringtone to end. Then Pause the song and go to Edit/Delete After Current Position.
4. Go to File/Save
Cool Edit Pro 2.0
1.Once you have opened Cool Edit Pro 2.0 Click on the open file ivon which is a small folder. It is located under files.[Not on the top Toolbar] And choose the Wav file we have been working on.
2.Once the Wav file loads press F11 on your keyboard. It should bring up a Menu Screen that says Convert Sample Type. Put the Sample Rate to 8000hz, Put the Channels to Mono, and put the Resolution to 8 Bit. And on the Low - High Quality Bar, Put it to 999. Now press Ok. After it Converts the Wav File close Cool Edit Pro 2.0 and right before it closes it will ask you if you want to save the file and you must choose Yes.
Webjal Instructions:
1. Open Webjal and click on Login. Leave Username and Password Empty and press Ok.
2. Make sure your phone is plugged in through the usb cable and click on Connect To Phone.
3. Once the phone is connected go to Load Ringtones and Start Adding your ringtones. [Note: The file name of your ringtone must be 20 characters or shorter.] Once you have added all your ringtones click on Download. It will notify you when downloads are Finished.
When Disconnecting your phone always Click on disconnect phone on webjal before unplugging it.
